The following LHS Music Students have been selected to the 2011-12 UND Honor Band:

Carl K. - Flute & Piccolo

Erica A. - Clarinet

Morgan M. - Bass Clarinet

Mary H. - Selected as an Alternate Trumpet

Morgan U. - Clarinet, but has chosen to perform in the UND Honor Choir

Northwest International Festival of Music

Here are some pics of the groups at the NW International Festival of Music that was held on the Minot State University campus on November 4th and 5th, 2011. The students rehearsed for hours and put on a great show culminating the weekend. Congratulations to all of the kids involved!

The results are in! Selected to this year's NW Festival Band are: Carl, Karlie, Erica, Morgan U., Morgan M., and Mary. Women's Choir selection is Ashlyn and the Nova Choir selection is Taylor. Congratulations! Pictures and article updates soon!

NDSU Choral Festival

Six LHS choral students were selected to participate in the annual NDSU Choral Festival held on the campus of North Dakota State University on October 2nd and 3rd. Our students were with approximately 375 other choral students from North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa participating in the event. Students rehearsed in the various choirs for two days with a culminating concert on Monday evening. LHS students chosen were: Dylan, Karlie, Kendra, Tanner, Jessica and Ryan.

The Mixed Honor Choir - this is the choir our LHS students were a part of ..... 175 strong!
