Region IV Vocal Festival was held on April 3, 2013 at Maddock High School. LHS brought home 5 STARS and an Outstanding Performance by Morgan U with her Vocal Solo - "Dirait On!" LHS had a great day and all the groups performed exceptionally well, but ND's quota system got the better of us this time around.

Region IV Instrumental Festival was held on April 12, 2013 in Cando at North Star High School. LHS had another outstanding day, bringin home 9 STARS out of 14 performing ensembles. The students all performed very well and are advancing 28 students to the State level on May 4th.

Trumpet Trio - Mary, Ryan and Taylor - "Trumpeter's Loullaby"

Mixed Clarinet Ensemble - "Caprice For Clarinets"
Trumpet Ensemble of 9 - "Trumpet Filligree"
Percussion Ensemble - "Oriental Mambo"
At the end of a very long and productive day :D

CONGRATULATIONS to all of the performers in the Lakota Music Department .... you have done yourselves - and school - proud! In all, there are 14 ensembles advancing and a total of 34 students advancing and performing for a STATE MEDAL at Minot. Pack your bags for a night at the Sleep Inn attached to the mall and waterpark!!!
