Selections to the North Dakota All State Band, Choir and Orchestra have been made ----- CONGRATULATIONS to Morgan U. for being selected to the 2013 ND All State Women's Choir!

Selections to the UND Honor Band and Choir have been made ---- LHS has two students selected to participate on January 18-20, 2013 at UND:

Morgan M to the UND Honor Band

Morgan U to the UND Honor Choir (she was also selected for the band, but chose choir)

Selections to the ACDA Middle School All State Choir have been announced ----- LHS has two students selected to participate on February 1-2, 2013 at GF Central:

Taylor A. & Emma C. have been selected to the ACDA Women's Honor Choir

Northwest International Festival of Music 2012

CONGRATULATIONS to the following students for being selected to the 2012 NW International festival of Music that will be held on the campus of Minot State University on November 2nd and 3rd:

NDSU Choral Festival 2012

The NDSU Choral Festival was held on October 7th and 8th at Reineke Fine Arts Center on the Campus of North Dakota State University. Lakota had 8 students selected to participate in the festival: Mary, Morgan, Dylan and Tim were in the Mixed Choir and Taylor, Emily, Emma and Kalli were in the Women's Choir ..... it is our hope to take some additional men next year to participate in the Men's Choir.

 

Lots of singing and rehearsing over the course of Sunday afternoon and Monday, culminating in a wonderful concert performed by all the ensembles - Mixed, Women's and Men's Choir. Congratulations to the music students of Lakota and the NDSU Honor Choirs for a job well done.
